I didn't render the fractals. I used polar inversion. I started from scratch and used layers and layer properties and blending and gradients.

I also used apophysis after you mentioned it and think that mine beats yours. That actually doesn't take much skill.

Now I'm starting to render 3D stereo images using the 3D hack of apo. I dont care if it takes up half of the page.

EDIT: New top-down view of dark water splash.
